Katya’s interest in engaging in an active healthy lifestyle and the importance of wellbeing led her to expand her knowledge of Psychology by reading for a Masters in Sport and Exercise Psychology at Staffordshire University in the UK. Her research focused on ultra-athletes and the journey they experience in preparation for an ultra-competition. This has led her to work with ultra-athletes on a one-to-one basis.
She has delivered preparatory talks to various athletes before competing and collaborated with athletics clubs/gyms in delivering group sessions to athletic teams.
On a personal level, Katya volunteers at a ballet school in preparation for the school’s annual show where she assists backstage and helps pre-primary ballerinas to get ready to go on stage. She enjoys going to the gym and attends Pilates and Hyrox sessions.
