Dr Yanika Degiorgio, Psychiatry Trainee

Dr Yanika Degiorgio graduated from the University of Malta as a Doctor of Medicine and Surgery in 2018. She then furthered her studies in psychiatry obtaining her Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. She is currently a Higher Trainee in Psychiatry with a special interest in child and adolescent psychiatry as well as adolescent forensic psychiatry.

Yanika has recently returned from a year in the UK where she worked with specialised multidisciplinary teams at secure children's homes and in community clinics.

Always eager to learn more and to develop her expertise, Yanika has attended multiple risk assessment trainings, locally and abroad, along with psychotherapy training. She embraces the application of psychosocial interventions in the management of mental disorders.
